Super cute, but the stock images are deceiving

This bed is very cute and assembly was pretty quick. I am giving four stars because I really liked the bed being slightly higher off the ground. There is a photo on the Ashley website showing the mattress raised over the bed frame. I purchased a low profile box spring in hopes of making the bed a bit easier to get up out of (especially for the adults) and to copy the look in this image. Unfortunately, this bed frame doesn't seem to allow for a box spring, or at least not the two I've purchased in an attempt to fit. We went to an Ashley store and saw the bed on the showroom floor, they used a very thick mattress to make the bed appear higher. So, if you're looking to raise this bed like the images be cautious. Otherwise, super cute bed frame.
Edit: We have since removed the front piece of the frame to allow the box spring to slide in. The bolts are just 1-2 cm short of actually fastening, so hopefully we can find bolts that will help secure the frame completely.
